- Recycle your Bicycle- The Helena Safe Routes to School Committee will be hosting a bicycle swap, especially for youth who have outgrown their bikes. May 7th
- Cycle with a celebrity- The public is invited to join County Commissioner Derek Brown (May 13) and Carroll College football coach Mike Van Deist (May 20) in a short but active commute through town.
-Commissioner Derek Brown will begin his commute at the City/County Bldg. at 316 N. Park at 11:00 a.m. and will be walking to the Capitol Rotunda for the TAWSE Bike To Work Event which is scheduled to run from 11:00 to 1:00. See map for route details.
-Carroll College Football Coach Mike Van Deist will meet Friday May 20 in the PE Center at 5:00. Friday See Map for details or route.
- Centennial Trail Tour- Helena’s Non-Motorized Travel Advisory Council (NMATC) will host a tour of Centennial trail for people of all ages (May22).
- Prickly Pear Land Trust, Don't Fence Me In Trail Run-Join us on May 14th, 2011 for the Eleventh Anniversary of Helena’s favorite trail run! This event boasts a 30K, 12K, 5K and 5K Dog Walk. All events start and end in downtown Helena, but thanks to our trail system being so nearby, all courses are mostly on trails. In addition to being a great event, Don’t Fence Me In is a big fundraiser for Prickly Pear Land Trust.
